stitch stitch stitch stitch stitch stitch stitch knot

Here's a sneak peak of the giant 30" x 60" embroidery I mentioned a few months ago. My mother started this in High School for her senior art project. Now I am tediously finishing it. I can't even imagine how many hours she spent on the completed portion.
Filling in a tree trunk with chain stitches.

Completed owley in wool crewel yarn.

  1. Talk about small and bizarro world: I grew up in Columbus. Now I live in Luxembourg. I buy the Burda magazines in the stores, but since they come in French or German and I'm not that fluent in either, I went to their website to subscribe to it in English, and they were featuring you.

My brother designed the Jeni's stores. Maybe I'll get a chance to stop in while I'm home this summer . . . you can scoop me some Salty Caramel, and we can talk sewing!

  2. That sounds fantastic. And it is a very small world. I am now managing the German Village pop up location, so make sure you visit that one!
